If you are unsure about any of the products you use, go to the web! CeliacNet is a great site that has a list of gluten free personal care products. Just like when you are going out to a restaurant, going to the beauty salon can mean a little research and extra care to be sure to stay free and safe from gluten. You can bring your own products to the hair salon, such as shampoos, hair spray and gels. Even when you go get your nails done, they could be using a lotion on your hands that may contain gluten derivatives. Also, when you are traveling, be sure to pack your OWN gluten free products in travel containers, so you are not stuck wondering what the heck is in that small little bar of hotel soap.
